/ EDITORIAL POLICY

Independent by design.

AnyPS5.org is an independent informational project. It is not the original AnyPS5 project, its developers, Sony Interactive Entertainment, or an official software distribution channel.

Why this guide exists

AnyPS5's code and technical documentation can be difficult to translate into practical user decisions. We organize its published releases, usage instructions, and tested game evidence into clear, search-friendly pages without claiming ownership of the software.

Our research rules

  1. Direct sources: use original GitHub documentation and official compatibility records for verified capabilities.
  2. Preserve scope: a report about one title, commit, OS, or GPU cannot be generalized to all systems.
  3. Mark uncertainty: label untested results, reported failures, and unreleased work explicitly.
  4. No piracy resources: we do not host or link to unauthorized game downloads, copyrighted console firmware, or cryptographic keys.
  5. No misleading downloads: every executable link points to the official project's own GitHub Releases.

Editorial review

Core tutorial and compatibility claims were reviewed against publicly available upstream source material on Oct 9, 2026. Upstream metadata may be refreshed automatically; compatibility judgments require manual evidence review.

Official project

Curated, manually reviewed game records

We keep a small game test index, not a complete PS5 catalogue or GitHub activity feed. A game must have concrete test evidence, an identified title ID and a useful runtime conclusion before receiving a detail page.

Review happens in one weekly pass of up to 30 minutes. Existing high-value games come first. If the budget is exceeded, we reduce coverage rather than publish unchecked results.

Playable requires an explicit upstream compatibility-table entry for the stated platform. Testing records a milestone without a concrete blocker as the current conclusion. Issues records a specific obstacle and its build/platform scope. Closing an issue or merging a PR never changes a game status automatically.

Regional IDs and conflicting names are checked before merging. Missing test dates, hardware or versions are labeled as unknown; an editorial review date is never presented as a test date.
